This blog was originally started by Reis and posted on Myspace way back in 2006, but he decided to move it to the larger, more accessible Blogger network in 2008, to better reach the large Conan fan base.
These blog posts represent our personal fandom and are a collection of whatever we can find on our favorite son of Cimmeria. If we find it on the web, we try to post it here. Some of the content, such as fan art, custom action figures and the like are not always used by permission, but we have only posted them out of great respect for fellow fans to enjoy. However, if you see something on here of yours and you'd prefer we took it down or notice that we haven't given proper credit, feel free to let us know and we'll fix it as soon as we can.
We sincerely hope you enjoy the blog and we encourage you all to please make comments and share your thoughts!
Here's a couple of sweet Conan pieces sent in by CROM! reader, Mike DeStasio, showing what Conan thinks of chains and monkeys! Thanks for sharing, Mike!
Cool stuff Mikeyboy! Can I ask you about the process involved? That first one (which is awesome btw) is just a regular old pencil I'm guessing? Did you ink that second one, or was that maybe "finished" with a computer app?
the pencil drawing I did was on a pc of typing paper and my point was dull and I was too lazt to sharpen it...I had this awesome almost SAMSON like image in my head and had to put it down as quick as possible. I would like to finish the drawing one day and ink it. CONAN of the apes however is an inked study of my pencil study I was testing my brush technique. A windsor newton series 7 # 4. You can see the original pencil version on my MYSPACE. Look for Mikey D and the SOB'S respectively or DeStasio Michael J. I change it from time to time.
