CROM! reader, and crusading blogger, MilkManX, whose blog, Rebirth of Classic Comic Art, is devoted to the continuing appreciation of old-school ink-under-your-nails style of art that we all grew up on, posted a brilliant interview with renowned artist and John Buscema "student", Benito Gallego, whose work stands out as some of the best of the best and reminds us all of the heyday of Marvel's Conan the Barbarian comics.

this particular drawing is super mega fantastic...very Buscema and I see bits of Frazetta and I am sure some of the other things I see are all his own style!
I had a bit of a falling out with Conan for a while, and Benito was one of those rare talents that reignited my interest. Thanks Benito!
And MilkManX for the interview...interesting!
Thanks for the write up guys! I just like sharing great art and artists.
Has Benito finished this piece? I would love to see the complete masterpiece
