Codan the Barbarian!

Now I’ve never had a Codan, but apparently they're chocolate coated cakes, so I’m thinking they would be the Spanish equivalent of King Dons, those round chocolatey cousins of the Twinky, which are readily available from my local grocer….yummy!

Depending on where you live, you might also know these scrumptious treats as King Dongs, Ding Dongs, King Ding Dongs, or even Big Wheels!

In Canada, Codan is a farm involved in some Stygian hocus-pocus, breeding genetically altered sheep, and is where I found this delightful picture...

…nice! But I transgress, and in more ways than one…

Ok, back to the topic at hand. Codan, the Barbarian. He’s a wonderful creation of CROM! Reader and fellow blogger, Madrid, Spain's very own Enrique Dueñas Gonzalez!

Enrique (a.k.a. Kike) has recently completed a Codan sequel, and it rocks! And it’s even got English subtitles, for those of us with Spanish deficiencies…most excellent!!! Here’s both of his videos, so check ‘em out...and make sure you’ve got the volume turned up!!

"Codan, la hija del gigante de Helado"
Based on R. E. Howard’s “The Frost-Giant’s Daughter"

"La Torre Del Elegante"
Based on R.E. Howard’s “The Tower of the Elephant"

You can check out everything Codan on Enrique’s blog, PoderFricki.com, or on Codan’s very own blog HERE!

What's That Banging?

Well?! Hold yer' sack open and I'll drop one of these here goodies in it...but don't you even THINK about egging my steed, or I'll be seperating your hands from your arms, right before I unleash the fury of Seven Undead Hyborian Hells upon your ass!!! Happy Halloween!

Conan the Virginator!

Mother of Mitra! I didn’t realize how late it was getting…

Time to polish off this flagon of ale...hic...there's virgins in distress, and in need of rescuing…

And don’t let me forget the lubricant, I’m drunk and...hic...horny, and I’ll wager that they're going to be some appric.. appresh...errr... appreciative!

A Dream!

Well, perhaps more of a daze, as I've wrapped up my last (ok, this one was bordering on painstaking) Polish translation for your perusal! Once again, this comes to us courtesy of Marek...it's a short story by Andrej Janicki, and again from the Polish comic magazine Awantura...

Marek sums things up quite nicely..."I've also sent you a short Polish comic dedicated to the memory of Robert E. Howard. The title is "A Dream" and tells the story of young Robert sitting in classroom and dreaming about adventures, battles, and brave warriors."

Perfect introduction Marek...nuff said!

Conan & Atala, continued!

More from our good friend Marek and the Polish comic magazine Awantura (“Adventure”)!

It's Cona...um...errr...Drakon and Onea! What the hell?

Marek helps makes some sense of this…“in the second part, the authors changed the names (probably because of copyrights, at this time Howard stories weren’t in the public domain). Conan became Drakon (“Dragon”), Atala – Onea. This story was never finished, Awantura magazine was liquidated.

For the sake of continuity with the first part of the story, I went ahead and changed the names back (which I would consider trivial, considering the number of liberties I took with the script in order to get through this difficult translation). A sincere thanks again to Marek, This stuff is Crom-gasmic!!!

Conan & Atala!

First off, let me just say that the stuff that Marek sent me from Poland exceeded my every expectation...so I dropped everything I was working on in order to start posting these goodies!

Here's part one of an adaptation of the Howard story "The Frost-Giant's Daughter". This story appeared in the Polish comic magazine Awantura ("Adventure"). The artwork is crazy cool!

So, straight from Poland, and the bitter frozen tundra of Vanaheim (and in English, as usual)...Cue the trumpets! It's Conan & Atala!

Stay tuned...more from Marek to come, by CROM!
