I was just over at Tom Yeates' website and spotted these nifty little pages he allowed the good people of the interwebs to see. In anticipation or the upcoming team up book. John Buscema " The lost drawings "...part 2

I was enjoying some art recently posted at John Buscema , the lost drawings site

http://buscemalostdrawings.wordpress.com/ ....I wanted to share them with the Murderous minions of CROM....I love the idea that Big John would draw on the backs of the art to be used for the comic books....so he can work out little details before he goes ahead and slaps it on the page...OR perhaps he had an idea in mind and needed to work it up as fast as possible...there is also the thought that he had a new brush he wanted broken in and he would go ahead and do little ink studies on the backs of the pages...who knows...but , he gave us some great stuff eh?

A tale of two Conan..or is that Conai?

No wonder Ralf got the job on the TV show....he's been best pals with Arnie for like...EVER! Being in the Sport of competitive body building I suppose that's not a stretch to assume right?

Seen here in the photo's taken from various locales on the web I now share with you behind the scenes photos from the tv series CONAN THE ADVENTURER as Arnold accompanied by Kyoshi Yamazaki gives Ralf pointers on how to handle his huge sword. Incidentally for those of you who do not know Kyoshi was the trainer and sword master for Arnold on " CTB 1982 " he also appeared in the film as the Sword Master who gives that grinning dumbass a spinning heal kick in the guts after he slaps CONAN in the face for not holding his blade right...But any fan of CONAN knows that already right? ;)...

Seen in the other photos Ralf and Arnie are out enjoying a parade or sporting event together.
As I said I borrowed these photo's off the web and if asked I will remove the post. No questions asked.
Can you imagine having been in the crowd that day and seeing those two together? I would have gotten a couple of autographs and gone home to watch CTB and CTD and CTA all in one big marathon or until I fell asleep. Enjoy the photo's. :)

I plan on adding them to my collection simply because it's CONAN related...The book

"Masters of the Nonsense-verse"...is a collection of strips from the GET FUZZY comic strips by Darby Conley , a particular favorite of mine when I'm scanning the paper and reading the comics. It reminds me of the ol' BLOOM COUNTY strips by Berkely Breathed and CALVIN and Hobbes by Bill Watterson all at once. I love the Boris/Frazetta style composition here...makes me wanna take a vacation.

The other is "SPONGEBOB COMICS" # 7 with a JOE JUSKO style cover....I think it's freaking hilarious that Patrick is the damsel in distress....FUNNEEE STUFF! Enjoy.

Conan the Barbarian Nominated for Best Makeup Saturn Award

Some of us hated it, some of us loved it, most of us thought it was "okay". But at least the folks in the make-up department (Shaun Smith and Scott Wheeler) on Conan the Barbarian are celebrating, because they've been nominated for a Saturn Award for best Make-up. And considering how they managed to make what I believe to be the impossible possible (me not being attracted to Rose McGowan), they deserve it!

It's Been a While...

... since we've posted some warrior hotties! And with all of these Skyrim cosplayers popping up, I got the feeling we're going to see a lot of this kind of armor-plated hotness.
